Electronic medical records have accelerated the discovery of treatments and potential cures through unprecedented access to clinical data. However, despite rapid advances in artificial intelligence and computational medicine, persistent health inequities remain unchanged from previous decades. Novel approaches must be considered to ensure that technological innovation in medicine addresses, rather than perpetuates, historical disparities in healthcare access and outcomes.
